Hareem Jeans

Notoriously difficult to find the right vut and fit of hareem jeans I have been searching for awhile, got this from Mango at ASOS.com, why bother going to the high street eh! Worn with a black woven leather belt which I nicked from the boyf and a baggy black vest top tucked in thyis picture doesnt really do the look justice. The jeans are made of a really lightweight denimalike material which drapes perfectly round the critch and tapers to fit beautifully at the ankle. I want to wear them everyday.

Sample sale goodies...

I was completely unsure about this dress when I picked it up in the sample sale but I received so many compliments when I wore it this week that I have chagned my opinion. Love the little oriental tassle detail at the back...well I say at the back but I wore it back to front. That slit was far too 'titty' to be worn at the front! BTW in case you didnt know already red lipstick works fabulously with royal blue. I knew there would come a time when I could use what I learnt doing GCSE art.

Velvetine

Velvet is the fabric of the season and despite the sun shining I decided to break with the crowd and ditch summer dresses for my AW collection. Skirt is a cdatwalk rip off at bargain price from H&M and the top I bought years ago from TKMaxx and just so happens to have shade matching velvet shoulder panels. How fortunate!

I never thought I could wear yellow.

Back in the good ole blond days, yellow was most defintely a colour to avoid. Now with the brunette and the red lippy I am liking it a lot. Picked up this dress down one of the vintage shops on brick lane, extortionate at £30 but I just needed something new. Now I need something else.

Japanese Style

Since I've been absent for so long I thought I would give it a 3 in one day. Wearing my H&M body designed by Katy Perry insupport of their AIDS awareness campaign, my ASOS harem trousers £11 in the sale and this cute diamonte bow I picked up in a charity shop. I think the side bun gives it a little Harajuku feel.

New do's

Just another Sunday. Didn't realise my top was actually that see through! I've had it since I was 17 and resurrected it with my new Zara shorts this weekend. The hair was a newly discovered effect of the side bun. Will be doing this more often, its almost Alice Delall. I had been flicking through Vogue whilst eating my breakfast and decided to brave their red eeyshoadow advise. Except it is impossible to find a dark red eyeshadow (I bet MAC have one but superdrug definitely didn't) so I used my deep red blusher with a red and gold glitter pot (MAC) sweeped over the top. It was shockingly nice and not pink eye looking at all. I think the tip is to go for a browny red rather than anything pinky toned.

Lace

Washed denim and antique laces are key looks for SS10. So are longer length demure skirts. I bagged both with this skirt I picked up in my new favourite charity shop. It's also really old and I love a bit of history.
