Frenchie

Wanting to wear hotpants and kee warm I opted for some thick opaques (I need to find some matte ones - hate that shine effect!) and a great big coat. My boyfriends poloneck jumper kept the look a bit more demure and some red lipstick and a hair clip added some glamour to what is basically a very simple outfit.

Checks

I'm loving checks and tartans this autumn winter especially with the 'Best of British' theme thats being bandied about. I got this skirt from a charity shop back home - why did I ever move to London when I can get Escada for £5 up North?! Yes Esssscada teamed with a Primark top and a topshop belt.

Vintaaage

I picked this dress up again from a charity shop bac home and I love it. Just need some red tights to bring out the flowers, I had to settle for hot pink this weekend though. Very clashy. This dress on the hanger has a danger of just being one of those 'old ladies curtain' style of dresses they try to flog you in vintage shops but when you put it on, the empire line from the waist is so elegant and so slimming that instead you feel all floaty and beautiful.

Gold

This is my steal of the week. I went back home an into the great charity shops in Frodsham and I picked up this jumper for £3. Teamed with a few gold necklaces and some simpleblack leggings, gold i instantly glam. What I love most about this jumper is that I an really imagine some 60 year old woman wearing it with her white linen trousers and metallicy loafer shoes (you know the kind) yet it has te ability to transform itself into a modern Topshopesque jumper when worn by someone younger. Magic.

Italian In London

This is one of my new looks I'm into, Italian in London. My over the knee black leather boots arrive today and then the look will be complete! I haven't dressed smartly for ages since work is more about fashion than corporate but I put on this crisp white shirt and a blazer and it felt good to smarten up. Except my bf said he felt like he was having an interview when we sat across the table from each other at dinner.

Going Ghostly for Halloween

ASOS rewards its employees every 3 months with a social meant for brainstorming and networking but often just ends as one big party. There is always a theme and falling on the 30th October this was bound to be halloween, considering the last social where the theme was best of british and peoples costumes were amazing I decided to make sure I was prepared this time around. A day of brainstorming between working and my team and I decided Victorian ghosts would be elegant and different to the usual zombies and brides of draculla. However turned out I was the only one who had enough time to wander around brick lane for a day finding victorian clothing and I was the only ghost!
