Bib Front Blouse

I felt very pretty and elegant to day in this shirt which is interesting because I wouldn't have bought this top had it not been for my store credit at Zara. I put a vintage look bra underneath so even though you cn see my underwear through the sheer it's pretty underwear.

Keeping It Simple

I was feeling a bit icky this morning so I went for something comfotable and slouchy. I got this slub marl white top from H&M sale for £5, wet look leggings from New Look teen section (cheaper than adults) for £12, the necklace I got free as I found it down the back of drawer in work. My hair started off down and assez nice but as the ickiniess of the day grew I pulled it all out of my face which is always such a relieving feeling.

Red Leopard Print Dress and Blue Fur Jacket

I got this red leopard print silk dress from the Zara sale for a tenner. The coat I bought a few years ago and my mum sent it down from up North in a care package this weekend. She also sent me some Stella McCartney for Adidas treats so now I have no excuse not to go running.

Dior Resort AW10

It's not fair that I can't have this.

Looking Fashionable on the Slopes

Dior, Chanel and Prada all do pretty well from their skiwear offers. Not surprising since their usual customers are just bound to have a chalet in Aspen darling. Aspen is probably so terribly out with the ski set these days but I am non the wiser. Topshop have got in on the act with their new Sno range available online but the best selection, as ever, is in the Oxford Circus branch. It's quite simple but good, the kind of thing you'd be tempted to buy even if you have no intention of going skiing because it looks so snuggly. Looking at the Chanel earmuffs I'm considering going myself. Let it snow, let it snow.

Harrods Online

I was reading in Drapers that Harrods is using it's new online service to test the popularity of emerging designers before dedicating floor space to them as floor space equals lots of potential money for Harrods. When I went to have a look though I was slightly disappointed as they only appear to have been able to secure a few brands so far for their online venture. Luxury brands are notoriously hesitant when it comes to etail, I can understand why but get with the times people. Anyway I did find two things to my liking. One is this most beautiful Balmoral pram. It retails for £1220. You may be forgiven for thinking I'm feeling broody but I'm not, I'm anti having kids but I did just tell my boyfriend that if he bought the pram I would have a child. He countered with if I had a child he would buy the pram which I think is a very bad deal.
I was also cheered by the collaboration between Marni and the glamorous Parisian tea house La Duree in producing chocolate macaroons adorned in gold leaf. If you haven't eaten La Durees macaroons you haven't lived. Apart from being delicious they are so wonderfully elegant in all their pastel shades and vintage looking boxes. Go buy some now and eat them laying on a chaise longue in a velvet dressing gown.
The second thing I liked is this Meerkat Aleksandr Orlo toy, random but who doesn't love the compare the meerkat ads!

Sonia Rykiel for H&M - Clothing!

It's as if they read my blog and answered my prayers. As I said on a previous blog why use Sonia Rykiel just for a lingerie collaboration - fabulous as it was - her clothes are so amazing that I want them to be seen not hidden under a sweater. Now I can wear my Sonia Rykiel underwear under a Sonia Rykiel Sweater. Thanks H&M, I love you.

Wasted - Some pics from an old shoot i found

BTW if you're going to put my pictures on your website at least let me see them! I've waited ages to see these! These were done by Vicki Carr in a somewhat rundown building in Salford. We had to climb under barriers to get in and avoid the broken glass and scary needles. Barefoot around hypodermic needles is scary shit.

Nudie

Sparkly pink top from Topshop it's got lovely little buttons down the back. Minky trousers from ASOS. By Friday the office is tropical from having the heating on all week so I always opt for a more summery outfit. Ever since I went brunette nudes have been my new best friend. I'm considering going blond again but that means giving up the icecream shades but then I win back black. Black dress with blond hair is so much hotter than with dark hair. Decisions decisions.

Cyber/Warrior

Inspired by the AW09 cyber trends seen on Topshop Unique, Danielle Scutt and Peter Pilottos runway shows I wore this printed silk top and grey washed leather look trousers and crimped my hair. I wanted to braid some fabric into my hair as well but I did have to get to work. The top I picked up from a charity shop this weekend - its Zara brand new with the labels still on! The trousers i bought from Pull and Bear and were really cheap considering they look more leather than plether. Unfortunately one size was too big and one size was too small - well theres nothing worse that baggy leather trousers so I went for the too small size because plether defintely gives and moulds itself a bit. Today being the first day I have worn them though they were a little uncomfortable this morning! But 12 hours later they fit like magic.
My friend in work asked me "what are you today then a Ninja Warrior". No it's defintely CYBER.

Clashing Colours - Hot Pink Shift Dress

I got this dress from Coast at ASOS.com it cost me £125 plus discount but it's now in the sale for £63. I love it's vibrant magenta colour which isn't as clear on these images but it's really beautiful. It's quite a wide shaped shift which looks good on the catwalk but I like to cinch it in with a belt so I don't look lost in it. I teamed it with some great grey and black polka dot tights from accessorize. It's all about the tights right now - if you have to cover your legs up because of the cold at least make them pretty.
To complete my outfit I decided to choose my orangey red Valentino from TKMaxx coat because I love the clash. Colour blocking is still around on the catwalks for SS10 which is good for me as I have a tendency to wear all black given the chance.

C&C California and How To Wear Joggers

I spotted thsi outfit in The Times style magazine this weekend and have been desperately seeking it ever since yet it proves elusive. I cannot find the pants on mywardrobe.com - to be honest I'm getting a little frustrated with mywardrobe press - every time I see them listed as a stockist for something fabulous it is not on the website. Up your game people. I have found a similar vest on ASOS but it's crea. Basically I want this exact outfit and it's become my new mission.
Whilst looking up the jogging bottoms I discovered a new label C+C California - it's very avergae jersey basics but I love them. Although basic the fit is very Wang. Slouch jersey hareem jogger pants and lovely slub find t-shirts. Paired with some killer heels this is such a cool look. The price tage is a bit ouch though considering poor exchange rates. These black joggers are $98

Spring Trends at ASOS

The website is looking fab at the minute specially the new Womenswear trend 'Pastiche'. The mags are telling us that this spring nudes and pretty pastels will be all the rage (what really for spring - I never would ahve predicted that) despite this look being a reoccuring feature ASOS have put a young and flirty spin on it with clothes that are icecream delicious. Top of my list are the floral hareem trousers, lace dress and oversized tunic. Bring on the sunshine.

Bohemian

As I was saying yesterday I'm feeling the urge to go bohemian recently and was drawn towards this dress in the charity shop. I nearly didn't buy it since it was a whole £8 but I checked the care label and since it was 100% silk I thought it worthy. I teamed it with some pinky lace tights and a long gold necklace and put some flowers in my hair. The shoes were a necessary evil as in I have other shoes that would go much better but they are shoes not made for walking.

Alexander Wang - the best designer for my generation? I think so

Alexander Wang sums me up.
Now if only I could afford him. Quite possibly my favourite designer Alexander Wang is just exactly what I want to wear every day. He does a hell of a lot more than jersey but it's his jersey that I remember him for. Take the outfit above, which I have on my desk pinboard to look at every day, a tres simple grey sweat top with leather pants. Hot. I just love this look and it's been my inspiration, especially the hair for several seasons now. You don't need colour, it doesn't have to be fussy, it doesn't even have to be fashion, it's about looking harsh yet totally at ease. I'm trying to sum it up in words but a picture tells a thousand tales. His pre-fall collection is looking decidedly black which I'm down with since I would happily wear black everyday if I didn't feel it was boring. He makes it so not boring.

Nicole Richies Winter Kate Collection

Apparement Nicole Richies hippie inspired new clothes range 'Winter Kate' is available exclusively at mywardrobe.com. It's not available yet for anyone whose an eager beaver like me expect the ever disappointing 'coming soon' message.
I couldn't tell you exactly why, perhaps influenced by some moodboards in work, but I am changing my whole outlook on life for SS10. I've never done Boho or hippie nor have i ever wanted to, so not my style, but this summer I am going to be distressed vintage hippie. It's an urge that I cannot fight which led me to buying one white crochet dress and a paisley print silk mini dress in the charity shop today, yes thats right preparing for the summer already. There is a chance that by the time I actually see some sun in this god forsaken country my mood will have changed completely hence these are risky purposes. But for some unknown reason when I think of myself in summer this year I see bronzed limbs, freckles, scraped knees, brown battered boots and floaty paisley dresses with woven leather belts and crochet waistcoats. Obviously in these images my hair is long and dirty sun dyed blond and I'm taller and much thinner and possibly at a very cool festival but you get the gist.
I've added some pics of Nicoles House of Harlow Jewellery range too as obviously this is what the imaginary me will be wearing.
