I am off to Corsica where I will be technologically disabled, cut off from the world and social media. But I'm going to have some fabulous pictures to show you when I get back. Corsica is nestled between France and Italy so I'm expecting to see some real style which I will of course share with you once I'm back.

Cream Lace Top

Cream lace top from the ASOS sale for £10, worn with my trusty Zara grey skinny jeans. It was one of those days where you can't get out of bed so I pulled on some jeans, grabbed a pretty top and tied my hair up (still wet!) in a bun. Made it to work half an early, why can't I be that efficient getting dressed every day?!

Chanel Resort Summer 2011

Chanel Resort Summer 2011 show is one of my new insprirations. I cannot believe that time has gone so fast again and as the sun comes up the fashion world is zooming through this summer, winter and christmas and all the way to next years summer. Here's a glimpse into the future. The show struck me as odd in several ways, don't get me wrong I loved it, but the use of celebrity 'models', Georgia Jagger doing the finale on a motorbike and a collection which was a little bit all over the place. I think the main theme that managed to marry the many different styles was 70s be that florals, denims or safari.

White Crochet Dress

White crochet dress £7 from a charity shop in Belsize park. Worn with my boyfriends straw hat and some wooden beads for a hippie feel admiring my nice pink carnations which are possibly my favourite kitsch flowers. I love wearing white in summer, for some reason it can look a bit trashy in winter. Now all I need is a nice tan. Oh wait I'm going on holiday next week!!! Woop.

70s Kaftan Dress

70s Kaftan dress bought from the Saturday Market at te Hackney Empire for £12. Perfectly glamourous for my holiday, now all I need is some Jackie O style sunglasses, a big straw hat and a cocktail. Pool lounging glamour.

Saturday Market at the Hackney Empire as I said in my last blog they have some great vintage stalls. Get yourself down there.

White Jumpsuit

White jumpsuit from the 70s with woven leather belt. I discovered a new vintage haven this weekend, the Saturday market at the Hackney Empire, open every Saturday 10am - 4pm. I found some real gems, this jumpsuit was made by the stall owner for herself in the 70s. She seemed happy to see it go to a good home.

Vanessa Paradis

Vanessa Paradis is uniquely beautiful. If you ever wondered what it takes to bag a man like Johnny Depp, these pictures say it all. I'm feeling inspired by her changing look, plus she has a gap in her teeth like me so I like her even more.

Lace Cycling Shorts

Lace cycling shorts are my new favourite layering piece. I like wearing hotpants, especially in this weather but I don't like too flash too much flesh. I'm going to buy a cream lace pair as well to layer under some pretty summer dresses. Just adds a bit of attitude.

Batik Print

I got this Batik print shirt from a charity shop with a matching pair of shorts. Today I wore it with a high waisted black stretch skirt from H&M, my vintage sunglasses and my satchel bag. I pulled my hair up into a top know an used a doghnut to give the bun some extra volume.

Vintage Silk Jumpsuit

Finally the day came. I woke up and the sun was shining through the window, I turned on the news and the weather forecaster told me it was going to be sunny! I ran to the wardrobe and pulled out my vintage silk jumpsuit which I picked up in Paris a few months ago. The time had come for summer clothes. So many summer outfits just sat in the wardrobe looking balefully at me when I open the doors each morning, just dying to be worn and loved and admired. Your time has come.

A Few More

I seem terribly vain now posting all these pictures of me doing the ASOS catwalk but I do so love the outfit. It was also the scariest thing to do in mountainous heels so I'm celebrating my survival with legs and ankles still intact.

H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection

H&Ms Fashion against Aids collection is hawt. All you need for the festival season retro style denims and sunnies and vibrant prints and even better fashionable tent, chair, sleeping bag, coolbox and blankets. All that you're missing is the beer for the cool box. Get down to H&M for your festival kit on the 20th May. Of course you can feel even better about kitting yourself out as it's all for a good cause. Job done.

Trilby Hat and Knitted Waistcoat

Wrapped up for the cold yesterday but I hear that warmer climates are coming our way this week - can't wait! I wore my grey felt trilby from M&S with skinny jeans from Zara of course a knitted waistcoat I bought in Germany and navy overcoat from Hurwundeki.

One of the fashion newsletters I receive told me it's time to ditch the worker boots now summer has arrived. I don't know whether to heed this advice or not since I live in these boots I'm going to have to find a pretty cool summer alternative sharpish. Or I could just keep wearing them and sod that fashion is telling me they're so last season.
