I arrived in Kenya just over a week ago now. I will be spending two months over here working with an ethical fashion production company called Soko, I came into contact with Soko whilst I was working on the ASOS Africa collection which they made for us over here in Kenya. At the moment I'm soaking up all the new experiences and feeling inspired by the traditional Kenyan dress - from the Masai warrior attire to the colourful kangas. The final goal is to have my own collection produced here. No hemp, no tie dye (ok maybe there might be a little bit of tie dye but in a 90s grunge way, not hippy!), no maxi dresses.
